There is a charge per hour, per operative. The charge is determined by the number of hours each operative works and their related job title.
Every week, either on Friday or the coming Monday, if weekends are worked, YOU MUST submit the hours of each Kite operative for that week.
You would have received a copy of both our Kite timesheet & Kite-hours submission doc to fulfil this task.
Once received, Kite will invoice you according to the Kite hours Submission Doc. Our Invoices have 30 day DOI (Date of invoice terms).
No, there are no additional charges for early terminations, i.e. terminations that take effect before the ‘estimated end date of assignment’.
Yes. Fill in the staff request form. Each site requires a separate form, i.e. 2 sites = 2 forms.
When you fill in a staff request form, we log your request and get to work straight away, sourcing the best possible candidates. Once a candidate is selected for your request, we notify you of a confirmed booking to your request.
We would like to say no. However, most tradespeople would not like to attend a job if it’s less than a full day shift. The only exception would be if price rates were negotiated.
Yes, you can have as many or as few Kite staff as you like on-site.
You can decide to cancel a booking at any time provided the cancellation is made 24 hours before the start of an assignment.

Simple! Narrow down the work required on-site, determine which trade/trades you require, and make an estimated duration for how long service is required, i.e. the building contract duration.
These will help you determine affordability of Kite's services.
Example given:
Expected Duration of Assignment? 2 weeks.
Trades required? Single operative, rate = £20 per hour.
Working week - Monday to Friday (40 hours).
Estimated Total Cost:
40 (hours)*2 (weeks) = 80(hours)
80 (hours)* £20 (single operative) = £1600 Exc VAT
PLEASE BE ADVISED YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FINANCIAL CREDIT CHECK BASED ON YOUR ESTIMATED TOTAL COST SO YOU MUST ENSURE ADEQUATE FUNDING FOR ANY/ALL ASSIGNMENTS WITH KITE.
You should treat them as you do your direct staff, provided they have facilities such as on-site welfare, first aid and an organised, hazard-free construction site.
Additionally, we advise all clients to think carefully about accommodating tradespeople to help retain workers, which includes having a safe secure place on-site where tools are stored overnight.
If you want to terminate an operative from a job site immediately, simply call the office or message us via our phone line stating the following:
1) Company name
2) Full Name
3) Site Address
4) Cancellation Statement e.g. "Hi, I would like to cancel operative, Rob Smith from this site address"
5) Cancellation Effect - Immediately/last day or specified date
6) (Optional) - Request Kite to dismiss operative
You should then tell the worker to stop all work and leave site. Alternatively, you can opt-in for option 6 above. Please be advised if you opted for option 6 with immediate effect and the worker seems to continue work, their phone may be off, in which case YOU would have to tell them to stop work and leave.
If you requested staff, received booking confirmation, and no one turns up, you should call the office and notify us immediately.
The operative's file will be flagged and possibly rejected for future job vacancies if a valid excuse is not provided.
Having said that, in this circumstance, we would aim to supply you with staff the very next day, following the start date.
We would like to make you aware that on the first day of any assignment, you may experience late arrivals as this could be a new route for the operative and could cause delays. We do notify operatives to leave a bit earlier to avoid this happening.
